Music Fading When Speaking

Whether using line in or not.

Why it happens

Zoom thinks your music is background noise and works pretty hard to remove it so your voice can be heard clearly.

What's the fix?

  1. TURN ON "Original Sound"

  2. Go to your Zoom's Audio Settings and then...

    MAC
    1. DISABLE "Automatically adjust microphone volume"

    2. SET TO LOW "Suppress background noise"

    3. ENABLE "Show in-meeting..." (New Version of Zoom)

    4. OPTIONAL (New Version of Zoom)
Test these one-by-one to see if sound comes out better without reducing stream / CPU performance.

      1. ENABLE "High fidelity..."

      2. ENABLE "Disable echo cancellation"

      3. ENABLE "Use stereo audio"

    Windows

Similar options should be available. Simply turn off, disable, or set to "LOW" any suppression settings and disable automatic microphone adjustments.
